The City - Episode Guide

Whitney arrives in New York City during fashion week just in time to start her career with Diane Von Furstenberg. When she's invited to an "uptown" dinner party she discovers her "downtown" boyfriend wants no part of that world.

Whitney's world is turned upside-down, when a boy from her past shows up to warn her that Jay has been fooling around. Olivia decides to make a project out of making Whitney her friend.

Whitney gets mixed signals from Jay. Erin's new boyfriend comes to visit and Whitney realizes it's time to find her own apartment. Olivia grows frustrated when Whitney refuses to listen to any of her advice.

Whitney dates a new guy and Jay gets jealous. Erin thinks things are moving too fast with Duncan when he suggests moving in. Jay confesses to Adam his true feelings about Whitney.

 Adam lets loose while his girlfriend Allie is out of town, but when she hears he kissed another girl from Whitney and the others, Adam finds himself in hot water. 

Allie breaks down after a face-to-face run in with the girl who claims she kissed Adam, but Adam sticks to his story to win Allie back. Whitney gets upset with Jay for taking Adam's side, and Olivia and Nevan judge the scandal.

Kelly Cutrone accuses Allie of being too skinny, and Whitney finds herself caught in the middle. Erin runs into an ex-boyfriend, and old feelings begin to return.

Olivia invites Jay's band to perform at one her charity events but her plan backfires, leaving Whitney and Olivia at odds. Erin's relationship with Duncan is threatened by her renewed feelings for her ex-boyfriend JR.

Adam kicks Jay out of his apartment so Allie can move in permanently and Jay asks Whitney if he can live with her.

When the gang goes to Miami for the weekend, Jay runs into his ex-girlfriend Danielle, and Whitney wonders if the rumors about them might be true after all.

Whitney discovers that Jay's mysterious night out was spent with his ex-girlfriend Danielle. Olivia steals all the credit from Whitney when they style an ELLE cover shoot and Allie decides that she needs space from Adam.

When Jay finds out he's going on tour, Whitney isn't willing to give up on the relationship, but when Jay doesn't give her a choice their relationship ends in a tearful goodbye.

Fresh from her breakup with Jay, Whitney questions whether she made the right decision to leave her life in Los Angeles. An opportunity at work may be what Whitney needs, but always competitive Olivia is after the same position.

Olivia takes a job at ELLE Magazine, but meets her match in co-worker Erin Kaplan. Whitney goes back to work for Kelly Cutrone, and an old friend Roxy comes to town, looking for a job and a place to crash.

Whitney questions if working with her friend is a good idea when Roxy steps out of line on her first day on the job. Olivia wins Joe Zee's approval on a new project at ELLE, but Erin is tougher to please.

Whitney takes Roxy's advice and goes behind Kelly's back to show her fashion designs to Bergdorf Goodman. Olivia shocks Erin by calling on her connections in the fashion world and succeeding at her biggest assignment yet.

Whitney reenters the dating scene and meets a cute younger guy, and his hot older brother. When Olivia thrives at an ELLE Magazine cocktail party, Erin quickly reminds her that the fashion business isn't just about who ya know.

Whitney grows cautious about Freddie just as her ex-boyfriend Jay comes back into the picture. Roxy clashes with Olivia when People's Revolution and Elle join forces to put on a party.

On a weekend trip to the Hamptons with the girls, Whitney finds out some surprising news about Freddie. Erin has to pick up the slack when Olivia drops the ball on a big interview assignment for ELLE.

Whitney doesn't follow Kelly's advice and brings Roxy along to a Glamour magazine shoot, and it almost ends in disaster. Erin and Olivia compete to be featured in New York's biggest gossip column.

Olivia disappoints when she refuses to wear a designer's clothes to their own party. Whitney gives a preview of her line to Joe Zee and gets some harsh criticism. Erin eyes a replacement for Olivia.

Olivia's flubs during Fashion Week leave an opening that Erin quickly tries to fill with a new fashion reporter. Roxy impresses Kelly by helping to produce a huge fashion show. Whitney fights for a spot in an emerging designer show in Miami.

Whitney and Roxy fly to Miami to put on a fashion show for Whitney's clothing line, for the first time without Kelly's help. Olivia fights for her job by scoring an interview with Zac Posen.

After a successful showing, Whitney's first big sale for her line almost ends in disaster. Erin suspects Olivia of taking undue credit for pulling the perfect look for ELLE's shoot with pop-singer, Ke$ha.

Roxy & Whitney have a falling out after Roxy is tasked with dressing a new musician in Whitney's clothing. Erin scores a spot for ELLE's editor-in-chief on the Martha Stewart Show, but needs Olivia's help to make it a success.

The tension between Roxy and Whitney builds, and Roxy starts to look for her own place. Olivia reluctantly interviews a celebrity wearing Whitney's line, while Erin sees another opportunity to replace Olivia at the magazine.

Whitney faces her biggest career challenge yet, when a powerful fashion PR company offers to represent her line.. Erin makes a final play in her effort to get Olivia replaced at the magazine.
