Yet another series so good. It could not last on television...
Sometimes I think television has a built in limit on quality of programming, and especially quality sci fi. If it gets too good. It HAS TO GO! And invariably is replaced with an insipid sitcom or an even more insipid reality show.
It truly could have used one more season, a FULL season with the writers and producers all KNOWING that "that was it". And I am sure they could have really wrapped it with a great wrap. Not a "Game of Thrones" (UHG!) ending but rather, a "House" or "Breaking Bad" or (one of the BEST series endings EVER!) "Billions" ending.
