Timewasters - Episode Guide

Stuck in the past after their 'time machine' malfunctions, the gang set out to survive and hopefully thrive in a world without mobile phones, the internet - or any other black people. After meeting a wealthy pair of twins named Victoria and Ralph, the band are invited to play at a concert, but Nick is determined to get home. In a surreal twist of fate, Nick runs into famed inventor John Logie Baird. Will he be able to persuade JLB to help him on his mission?

While the rest of the band enjoy living it up in their new environs at Victoria and Ralph's house, Nick desperately tries to work out a way back home. He is invited on a spiritual retreat to help with his wellbeing, but it soon becomes apparent that all is not what it seems. Meanwhile, Jason is all loved up with Victoria, but Lauren begins to tire of Ralph's irritating advances.

Nick decides to get to know Victoria's long-suffering butler a little better. It turns out that Langley once had hopes of being an opera singer, so Nick becomes determined to help him follow his dreams. Elsewhere, Lauren tries to integrate herself into 1920s high society by befriending Victoria and her gaggle of party girls. Will Lauren stick to her principles or change instantly on being accepted by the posh rich girls?

After rebelling against the men-only rule at the band's latest gig, Lauren unexpectedly finds herself with a new fan called Rose. Rose brings back lots of friends the following night, giving Lauren her moment to shine. Much to Nick's irritation, Lauren soon catches the public's imagination and becomes a star, but will her new-found fame go to her head?

The band is relaxing at Victoria's country mansion where Horace has devised a murder mystery game. It goes ahead without Jason , who is fleeing when a vengeful Curtis reappears but when Curtis collapses Jason is sure he has killed him . Calmed by Lauren he returns to the house to make his confession but no body can be found. This is not surprising when it is revealed what really happened.

The gang finally have a chance to go back home but not everyone wants to. After meeting a beautiful French woman called Nicola, Nick looks set to stick around in the past. Jason declares his love for Victoria, but does she feel the same way? Lauren tries to collect as much vintage stuff as she can from the 20s to take back to the modern day, and Horace looks after a desperately sick Curtis.

Horace is desperate to go back in time and save his Grandma from slipping on the stairs but time travelling with Homeless Pete is not an exact science and the band find themselves in 1958.

The gang move in with Victoria, Nick wants to open his own Jazz club which Lauren sees as a new business venture. Meanwhile a mysterious woman called Janice is tailing the gang, is she a spy?

Victoria wants to marry off her and Jason's son JJ so organises a debutante's ball. Meanwhile Janice and Horace get closer.

Horace's private diary from 2019 has been published in 1958 and he becomes an overnight sensation. The gang accidentally bring UK Garage to 1950's London which catches the interest of Ronnie Scott.

Nick's musical idol General Hands comes to stay but is he as friendly as he makes out? General Hands convinces the gang to kick Horace out of the house just as Janice is desperate to save him from the KGB.

Horace is feeling unloved by Nick and befriends some rowdy Teddy Boys. The KGB are homing in on the gang, can Janice save them before it's too late?
