An Air Force team is in a deadly plane crash after investigating a Washington state UFO sighting reported a week before an incident in 1947 Roswell, N.M.

In 1990 a pilot flying his small plane off Catalina Island spotted an object just below the surface of the water which enveloped his plane with a bright light, freezing his controls. His next recollection was waking in the hospital with NTSB and LA County Sheriff personnel. His cousin was killed in the crash. Our team will use high-tech sidescan sonar and deep sea magnetometers to search and dive for the wreck and analyze the evidence. Eyewitness accounts, scientific experimentation, documents recently released through the Freedom of Information Act and footage that has never been seen on television is used to piece together compelling evidence of UFO phenomena.

Alien abduction is a common and highly documented phenomenon; proof of alien abduction in the form of objects implanted in people's bodies is not. This episode chronicles several close encounters with alien abductees who have been held captive, probed, examined and had objects implanted in their bodies. In 1947 an unknown object approaching US air space at great speed and a civilian craft out of El Paso were heading towards each other when they disappeared from radar. At the crash site near Coyame, the Mexican government beat the U.S. to the scene and loaded the wrecked UFO onto a flatbed truck. When the U.S. military arrived the Mexican convoy was found ambushed and the military personnel killed. The UFO craft was taken by the U.S. military to an unknown location. Our team goes to Mexico in search of the plane crash site where they hope to recover evidence. Then in August of 2007, in the Mexican towns of Ciudad de Valles and Xilitla, reports of "a silver object falling from the sky," and "a fireball coming down over a tree," were called into the Center for Control. Our team will interview the witnesses who have collected evidence, including an officer who risked his career to tell the story, and visit sites where the area has been burned.

In 1956, an object was detected over the North Sea heading toward Bentwaters RAF base--a base with nuclear weapons. Two Venom fighters made contact with the object, but their weapons and electrical systems were rendered useless. Both ground crew and base radar witnessed the event. In January 1980, British and American soldiers stationed at NATO/RAF bases near Rendlesham Forest observed a mysterious object in the sky. Later, Tim and Jeff consult an astrophysicist who suggests that inter-dimensional travel via Vortexes may be entirely possible under Einstein's Theory of Relativity.

For years, people have claimed to have had direct, personal contact with an alien. In this episode of our series, the team tracks down several people who claim to have had such contact. They'll also work along side medical and scientific professionals to try and discover what, if anything, really happed to these people.

The team is hot on the trail of a case that just happened, one that had the whole country talking just weeks ago. In December 2007, people begin seeing UFOs in the skies ninety miles from Dallas, Texas. Within a month, the reports had increased ten-fold. The UFO Hunters travel to Stephenville, Texas to investigate the strange lights in the sky. They meet witnesses never interviewed for TV, analyze strange footage shot by people all over Texas, and come to an incredible conclusion.

In the 1970s and 80s, military pilots allegedly not only saw UFOS, but engaged them. The team gets special access to ex-pilots in Iran and Peru who followed strange objects on hair-raising chases later investigated by the US Military. American jets have had close encounters that continue to this day with objects seemingly too fast to be terrestrial.

Believers say that the sighting of 12 UFOs on radar triggered a military alert at Edwards Air Force Base in California on Oct. 7, 1965.

Analysis of video taken of an alleged UFO over Illinois suggests the object could have been as large as 1500 feet across. The video, featured on UFO HUNTERS, captured three bright lights in a triangular pattern. It was part of a mass sighting of over fifty reports near Tinley Park, Illinois in 2004. Upon investigating, the team discovered that similar objects were reported all over the world in the days surrounding this event--from Australia to Canada. Sightings of triangular-shaped UFOs have been on the rise in recent decades, but was the Tinley Park mass sighting a solid object, or as some believe, a hoax involving weather balloons and flares? Analysis of the video suggests it could have been a solid object larger than any known craft.

Late in the evening of April 16, 2008, the tiny town of Kokomo, Indiana was rocked by an ear-piercing, high decibel boom. Houses shook; thousands of panicked citizens called 911; and police, firefighters and Homeland Security showed up to investigate. Witnesses claimed to see strange orange balls of light in the sky attached to something they couldn't identify. The team heads to the heartland to unravel the clues behind the strange booms and menacing lights over the skies of Indiana, one of the most recent UFO sightings in America.

On April 19, 1897, the Dallas Morning News reported a mysterious airship had crashed into a windmill in the nearby town of Aurora, Texas. Townspeople were said to have found an alien body and buried it in the local graveyard; the crash debris was dumped into a local well. More than 40 years later, the ranch owners were reporting skin lesions and crippling rheumatoid arthritis, which they attributed to tainted well water. The well was sealed over and forgotten. Now, more than a century after the event, the team will reopen the well, and search for the legendary grave, as they attempt to solve one of the earliest UFO cases ever recorded.

New evidence suggests there was more than one UFO crash near Roswell. On July 8, 1947 at 5:26 EDT, an Associated Press news wire announced that soldiers from Roswell Army Air Field in New Mexico recovered a "flying disk" from a nearby rancher's property. The tiny town of Roswell has never been the same. Now, 61 years later, new theories, new witnesses and new evidence have emerged. The most shocking lead is that there may have been a second crash, and if it can be found, it may finally reveal what really happened at Roswell.

On 13 March, 1997, a string of fiery globes were seen over Arizona, but earlier that night some eyewitnesses saw something more shocking - a huge boomerang-shaped object.

The team recovers physicist James McDonald's long lost research. Over 20 years, he interviewed more than 500 witnesses of UFOs and unearthed revealing government documents.

On December 29, 1980, Betty Cash, Vickie Landrum and Colby Landrum took a drive that would become a life-changing nightmare. At approximately 9 p.m., driving through the Piney Woods in Texas, they observed a huge diamond-shaped object flying low above the isolated road, expelling flame and emitting significant heat. That night, all three experienced horrible physical symptoms: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, weakness, and burning sensations all over their bodies. In May of 2008, the UK's Ministry of Defense made decades' worth of classified files on UFOs freely available to the public. One month later, UFO hysteria ripped through the country. In June, a police helicopter crew spotted unusual aircraft in Wales. South Wales Police confirmed the sighting and reported it to the Ministry of Defense. Numerous witnesses and videos poured into Britain's top newspapers of more sightings--UFO madness had come to the UK. On January 28, 1994, an Air France pilot, his crew and passengers witnessed a brightly-glowing red and brown disc-shaped object while flying to London. Estimates of the disc's size were between 800 and 1,000 feet long, more than three times the size of a 747. On April 25, 2007, the captain of a passenger plane crossing the English Channel observed two bright-yellow flat objects for more than 15 minutes. He is astounded by their size, which he claims could have been as much as a mile wide. A pilot from a separate aircraft corroborated the story. The team takes to the skies to probe some of the largest UFO sightings ever recorded.

There are approximately 30,000 commercial flights in the United States every day, and as the number of flights increase, so does the proximity of UFO encounters. On November 7, 2006, a strange object hovered for ten minutes over Gate C17 at O'Hare International Airport in Chicago before rapidly ascending into the sky. On October 23, 2004, in Osaka, Japan, a UFO was spotted tailing Japanese Airlines flight 1512 as it came in for a landing. Are UFOs following our own commercial aircraft and surveying our airports? The team sifts through the evidence of these and other mysterious cases to determine if UFOs have a peaceful or malevolent agenda.

In the early morning hours of May 14, 2008, witnesses in Needles, CA saw a turquoise glowing object in a rapid descent over the Colorado River. Soon after, military helicopters carried away an object that appeared to be glowing, and according to witnesses, military personnel canvassed the town, intimidating witnesses and townspeople. But alleged cover-ups of strange crashes are nothing new; from Flatwoods, West Virginia to Kecksburg, Pennsylvania, reports of UFO clean-ups are rampant. The team visits the site of the world's most recent UFO crash to search for signs of what some say the government keeps trying to hide.

On October 26, 1994, the U.S. government made their first official acknowledgement of Area 51. Six months later, nearly 4,000 acres of previously public land surrounding the base were closed. Now, over a decade later, satellite photos reveal new buildings, towers and runways finishing construction. Secret flights with blacked-out windows bring passengers from Las Vegas.

For years, the team has been tracking an elusive prey only seen at night--ships, shaped like triangles, impossibly huge, and videotaped over cities around the world. But are they ours, or theirs? The team investigates numerous UFO sightings that have recently been reported in Sonora, California, a charming old West town nestled in the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range nicknamed Triangle Alley. What makes these sightings so compelling are rare daytime footage of triangles in flight. This footage will be digitally analyzed to determine if these are indeed UFOs and not military jets. The team will also visit Texas to speak to military experts and witnesses to compelling triangle sightings. It's speculated that these triangle craft have been visiting us for centuries.

They examine a mysterious glass-like rock found in Poland at the scene of a UFO sighting. And in Missouri they meet a man with a unique otherworldly piece of metal he witnessed falling off a UFO. Our team will conduct a scientific test never-before-done on this unidentified metal. The results of this test could be revealing.

Everyone's heard of Area 51--Groom Lake, Nevada. However, 2,500 miles away there's an underwater facility that's also highly secretive. Perched on the cusp of The Bermuda Triangle, it's called AUTEC. The Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center is a laboratory said to be used by the U.S. Navy for weapons testing and underwater research. UFO and USO activity in and around AUTEC fuels speculation that the U.S. government is secretly working with extraterrestrials; engineering and testing alien technology. The team heads here to speak with former base employees and to search the waters around one of America's most top-secret facilities.

Ever since Roswell, observers have noted that UFOs allegedly appear in locations that are already full of secrets and mystery: namely, weapons labs. The question is, why? As Earth's scientists create ever more advanced weapons, do UFOs from other planets sense a growing threat from humans? The team looks into recent videos that indicate a strong UFO presence, and investigates reported encounters in the 1990s at two of America's leading weapons labs, Brookhaven National Lab on New York's Long Island, and Lawrence Livermore Laboratory in Northern California. The team digs for possible clues that might explain UFO/Weapons Lab encounters--and finds evidence that suggests the weapons labs might just be fighting back.

UFOs are the biggest mystery of our time and somebody--or something--seems determined to keep it that way. Hundreds of UFO researchers and witnesses have told of terrifying encounters with mysterious men, usually dressed completely in black, who threaten terrible consequences if they don't keep silent. The Men in Black seem to appear out of nowhere, know facts the witnesses haven't divulged to anybody, and frequently display bizarre behavior, leading some to question whether they are in fact, human. The team interviews men who are only now willing to come forward to tell their stories. A sketch artist will create portraits of the MIB to see if the sightings match. The team will also analyze the only known photograph of a MIB and talk to the photographer. Finally, the team travels to "the new Area 51" in the Utah desert, to a site rumored to be the place where the MIB originate.

Area 51 is considered the ultimate top secret facility, one that UFO investigators believe houses an extraterrestrial secret. But is there an even more secretive facility? In Dugway, UT, there is a remote testing facility sometimes referred to as Area 52. UFO watchers in this part of Utah have witnessed strange phenomena at this military site for over 10 years, leading to speculation that much of Area 51's secretive work is now conducted at Area 52. The team examines video of bizarre beams of light seen shooting up from the area, meets with an astrophysicist who has charted mysterious cosmic rays operating out of Dugway, and analyzes photos that suggest something very strange is taking place.

For decades, it has been believed that the United States military has had unexplained encounters with UFO phenomena. Our team sets out to try and uncover the armed forces' first response to UFO encounters. They investigate a claim that in Long Beach, California, multiple UFOs were seen and pursued by military helicopters. They revisit the area of the alleged 2008 UFO crash in Needles, California, where it is believed the military presence has been beefed up as the number of UFO sightings has grown.

There's a growing phenomenon of alleged UFO sightings known as Orbs. Witnesses who see the Orbs also report having dreams, premonitions and a deep fear. Some believe that the Orbs coincide with earthquakes, while others claim that the sightings are clustered around sacred sites and petroglyphs that depict the Orbs in ancient artwork. The team will take their investigation to three of the most active Orb locations in America, Arizona, Indiana and Missouri, to examine video and talk to eyewitnesses. Can they unravel the mystery of why Orbs are appearing with alarming regularity?
