Henry Green

Henry Green was first seen in 1997 whilst he was still at school, he was best mates with Stephen Snow and he fancied Deborah Allis. In the early episodes, Henry was not a very confident lad and could not manage to find himself a girlfriend. In fact, he found it difficult to communicate with girls and was upset that Deborah fancied Stephen rather than him. He resented the fact that Stephen could have any girl that he wanted and felt that Stephen was arrogant because of this. This was evident when the Scorpions travelled to Whitby on a fishing trip where Stephen pulled someone and Henry was lumbered with her friend. However, they had a heart to heart and they slept in Henry's hotel room. The day after, the rest of the lads presumed they had slept together and Henry never corrected them.

In 1998, Henry managed to get a job at the local supermarket as a manager. He had managed to do well for himself and Simon Goddard realised his potential and offered him a job as Assistant Manager at Goddard's Paper Products in 1999. Henry excelled at his job and Simon was impressed with his modern ideas. By this time, Henry and Deborah were living together and engaged. However, Henry told Deborah that he didn't want to get married although he did still love her and they carried on their relationship. However, they had split by 2000 as Deborah had opted to stay in Ibiza working in a bar.

The Buckleys arrived in Skelthwaite in the year 2000 and Henry took an instant shine to the daughter Jess. They ended up getting together after being friends for a while. But after Jess met Hussan in 2001, they split up and this left Henry upset and he had a one night stand with model Julia Joyce simply to get back at Jess. But she didn't even notice as she was so loved up with Hussan. He tried to get back with her after he chopped his finger off at work and she rallied around him. He kept feigning illness to try and win her back but she found out he was faking it. This worsened his chances for a while. But then, Hussan left Skelthwaite for Greece and Jess told Henry that she had never had sex and she wanted to lose her virginity. She asked Henry if they could have sex because they were good friends and she wanted to lose her virginity to a good person. They did and they got back together.

In 2002, Jess revealed that Henry had left Skelthwaite to take up another job thus ending their relationship.
