Peggy Snow was married to Vic and they had two children together, Stephen and Lucy. Up until 2000, Peggy was a district nurse at Skelthwaite Medical Centre. She worked with her sister in law Ruth Goddard and Patricia Illingworth until 1999 and also worked with Chris Eckersley, Jacqui Snow and Anna Kirkwall in 2000. She later moved upstairs and took a bosses job in Leeds however this did not last long due to her untimely death in 2000.
Peggy was a popular member of the community and would do anything for anybody, she had been a nurse for 20 years and had treated almost everybody in the community. Peggy always knew everyone's business around Skelthwaite and could be classed as a local gossip. But she was more than that, she always had people's best interests at heart and she was loved and respected by everyone in Skelthwaite. If anybody needed any advice they always went to Peggy and this included Anna Kirkwall who was worried that she was pushing her out when she took the job in Leeds. Peggy was totally committed to husband Vic and she loved her children Stephen and Lucy. She was very protective over Stephen especially but was proud of him when he went to University in Bristol. Although he ended up coming back to Skelthwaite she was still proud that he was bringing up a child with Jacqui and that he had managed to find work as a teacher. She was also proud to see that Lucy was also growing up into a responsible young adult.
The whole of the community was shocked when she passed away in 2000 following a car crash involving a horse. Peggy suffered substantial brain damage and Vic had to switch off her life support. This crushed the whole family and Simon later went to the Skelthwaite Arms where the whole of the pub were in mourning, thus showing how much respect people had for her.
