Jack Summers is a young tough in Porter. He and his older brother Barry end up in a shootout and Jack goes to prison. While he's imprisoned, Larry runs a gang and they take over a saloon in Abilene and run crooked games. Larry is eventually killed but his killer is never apprehended.
After he gets out of prison, Jack returns to Porter to find his brother's killer. He's unaware of Larry's crooked dealings until one of Larry's former gang tells him. Jack then swears off of revenge and Hoby gives him the name of his brother's killers: a local man whose son was killed by Larry.
