A miner, Buddy went into Jackson City and met a saloon girl named Ginger. Unaware of what her profession was, Buddy fell in love with Ginger and said that he'd make his fortune. Five years later, Buddy mined $500,000 in gold dust and convinced paladin to help him. They returned to Jackson City and Buddy proposed to Ginger... who barely remembered him.
Ginger was glad to play along, and tried to have Buddy bushwhacked. Paladin protected the young miner, who bought Ginger's saloon and then tore up the place. After Paladin pointed out that it wasn't Ginger's fault that Buddy had imagined she was something she wasn't, Buddy bought Ginger the saloon and left with his remaining money.
