A man of few words and maybe not the best education, Joe Meeker knows a lot more than he lets on. Behind the hound dog eyes and ever-present corn cob pipe is a man with a fierce streak of loyalty running through him. He and Bill Haskell eventually find their paths crossing out at the claims. Joe's steady ways prove to be just what Bill needs when the Klondike seems hell-bent on destroying him.
