Dipi and Shane had a tense night, with Dipi annoyed at Shane for being locked in a library half the night after she had gone to the effort of cooking dinner. The tension continues when Mackenzie returns home and tells Dipi and Shane about how she and Harlow foiled Pauls plan to install solar panels at the hotel by leaking it to the West Waratah Star.
