At Lake Como, Italy, a young man--Angus MacGyver--pulls up to a villa in a sports car. A fellow agent, Nikki Carpenter, is watching him via spy satellite. His teammate Jack Dalton is on a boat in the lake. Mac collects some soot from his car's exhaust pipe and points out to Nikki that he's going to need a fingerprint to access the safe. Is this what the world of classic show come to , I seriously was shocked by this one why do they have to ruin the classic series and on top of that the half baked , censored and/or the red tape about not to give out some good old scientific info just did it for me. :(

meh... Sadly did not impress me. Just kind of boring and the drama just didn't feel real... They pushed it to hard.
I have a severe distaste for shows that use a computer super hacker to magically solve their problems, like finding the bad guy who is on all those watch lists in a matter of a few minutes.
This show won't last long.
It is what it is. A light-hearted CBS spy/adventure/action drama. It's hard to remember with the MacGruber parodies, but the original MacGyver wasn't exactly ground-breaking drama. The new series "updates" the original one, making Mac more of a team player and giving him some women with actual personalities to interact with. Would I rather have another season of Person of Interest instead? Sure, but that ain't happening. It beats another procedural.
Not very good first episode, honestly Burn Notice did the whole MacGyver something from nothing thing better than the original MacGyver...
I thought I should give it a look to see if it lived up to the lowest expectations.
Not even close.
Probably not the worst thing I've ever seen but, off hand, I can't think of anything worse.
