The show comes from the Bowes Museum at Barnard Castle in County Durham. The museum was purpose-built to house the collection of Josephine and John Bowes, and in the picture galleries, experts Paul Laidlaw and David Harper pick out some gems to value. They include illustrated books by Arthur Rackham and Edmund Dulac, and a carved dog's head. Presenter Paul Martin investigates the museum's latest conservation techniques.
