Arai Hirofumi is a Japanese actor of Korean descent. He is a third-generation Zainichi Korean. Arai made his screen debut in Yukisada Isao's GO in 2001 when he was just 19 years old. Tokyograph reported in 2007 that Hirofumi was in a serious relationship with singer Sakamoto Miu, the eldest daughter of noted musician Sakamoto Ryuichi and singer-songwriter Yano Akiko.
