Masimba Marlon Clarke was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. At the age of six months he moved to Trinidad and Tobago, West Indies where he spent the next five years before moving back to Winnipeg. In 1984 Marlon moved to Toronto with his family where he became interested in acting. Throughout high school he majored in Drama and took part in school productions. He also enrolled in various out-of-school acting classes. In 1999 he graduated from college with a diploma in Journalism. By 2001 Marlon had landed his first role in an independent feature. In addition to film and TV, Marlon has also appeared in print ads.
