Born in Bennington, Vermont, Cynthia Gibb began modeling while still in high school, winning a contract with New York's Eileen Ford Agency at 14. On the cover of Vogue and Young Miss, she was noticed by Woody Allen, who cast her in her first minor film role in Stardust Memories. Upon graduation, she decided to pursue a career as an actress and landed her first role, that of Suzi Martin in Search For Tomorrow.
