Aki Shibuya comes to Newsroom Tokyo from her position as host of NHK World's "TOKYO FASHION EXPRESS". She was born in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, grew up in New York, and graduated from Smith College with a bachelor's degree in both Political Science, and East Asian Studies. Back in Japan she has acted in a leading theater company, and for 11 years has hosted her own interview program on FM Yokohama. She presently teaches dance at an International School, where she emphasizes communication and expression.
