Gillian Burke is a biologist and filmmaker, she was born outside Nairobi, Kenya, and lived what she describes as a "very happily feral" childhood, hunting barefoot for insects outside their house. She made guest appearances on Springwatch and Autumnwatch '2016' and is a permanent member of the team, having started on Winterwatch.
