Matthew Harris has been performing sketch comedy in Los Angeles since 2001 and stand up since 2011. His funny-making has brought him to numerous places most notably UCB Los Angeles, The Comedy Store, Flappers, San Francisco Sketchfest and the LA Comedy Festival.
He has also appeared as a guest in various amazing comedy shows including The Lonley Island, Black History at UCB, and Past My Bedtime with Topher Harless. He is a member of Improv Olympic West's award winning sketch team Dead Honkey, and has performed in the main stage sketch show Top Story Weekly for 5 years running. When he is not making people laugh, he is probably doing so for his favorite audience - his daughter Matilda and wife Vanessa.
Matthew is a classically trained actor and accomplished comedian giving him a wide range of skills both in front of live audiences and the camera. In his stand-up routine he likes to joke that he is the 'non-threatening black guy.' On screen this quality ventures into the "adorkable." Matthew's sophisticated comedy lends itself well to playing the gentleman about to destroy his opponent with his fierce wit. Matthew is fantastic with these upscale snarkers. In an ensemble he excels as the "only sane one" of the group and in drama he is the intelligent (sometimes nerdy) expert or professional that has the answers.
