Carrell Lasso

Carrell Ali Lasso Paz was born in Santiago de Cali, Valle del Cauca (COLOMBIA) and is the first of 5 children of a Muslim minister, teacher, electrician engineer and a Muslim mother, business administrator and chef, owner of a gourmet ice cream parlor. At an early age and due to the cultural influence of his parents he learned to speak English and to master part of the Arabic vocabulary. Upon reaching his adolescence his interest in art increased more and more, since the academic emphasis of his school was artistic and he had the opportunity to be immersed in the different branches of art for a certain time. At first he thought of dedicating himself only to music, which is why he started his career as a musician at the Universidad Obrera, having previously obtained his degree, as a technical bachelor in arts from the colegio santo thomas en cali. During his stay as a teacher of English and music at a school in Cali, he took part in a theater production and became interested in acting in general. That year he entered the performance academy Naar Landaeta in Cali and then studied with different masters of the city's dramatic arts. Later he moved to the city of Bogotá D.C to enroll in different acting workshops for film and TV looking to perfect his acting technique. After an intensive year of study at the ACT, after a brief stop in Venezuela leaving the conservatory, and returned to Bogotá to look for work as an actor.He debuted in the cinema in 2010 with Amores Peligrosos and the Cartel of snitches. In 2011 Carrell Lasso played the role of an American Drugsdealer Peter Jenkins in the series LOCKED UP ABROAD for NatGeo International, role for which he began to be recognized abroad. Due to the success of the series was broadcast on 5 continents and in different languages. In 2017 played Trinidad in a Tv show available in Netflix as La Esclava Blanca (The white Slave). Also was cast to working on Netflix's Famous show Narcos season 3 as supporting actor playing Enrique's role
