Jim McKay is an American film and television director, producer and writer, a music video and documentary maker, and a haiku poet.
McKay has directed numerous TV shows, including The Wire, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Breaking Bad, New Amsterdam, Gossip Girl, Big Love, Hung, Law & Order, In Treatment, Blue Bloods, Boss, Treme, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, The Americans, Zero Hour, Betrayal, Bosch, Rectify, Mr. Robot, The Good Wife, BrainDead, Power, Shades of Blue, Instinct, Quantico, The Good Fight, For the People, Evil, Better Call Saul, Home Before Dark, FBI: Most Wanted, Law & Order: Organized Crime, and Black Bird.
McKay was a Rockefeller Fellow in 2003 and a Guggenheim Fellow in 2004. In 2005, he was a recipient of the Lincoln Center Martin E. Segal Award.
