Lisa Genova

Lisa Genova was born in Waltham, Massachusetts. She graduated valedictorian, summa cum laude from Bates College with a degree in Biopsychology and has a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Harvard University. Lisa began writing full time in 2004 and her first novel, Still Alice (2007) was acquired by Simon & Schuster after she intially had it self published to much success. Julianne Moore won the Best Actress Oscar for her role in the movie adaption. Lisa's next novels all became New York Times bestsellers and she has received a number of awards for her work. Lisa now also speaks about Alzheimer's and has appeared on numerous shows and her TED Talk, "What You Can Do To Prevent Alzheimer's" has over three million views.
