Skylar Gaertner began his acting career doing commercials at age 3, but it didn't take him long to book his first pilot. Later he was handpicked by Steven Spielberg for the original Locke & Key.His passion for storytelling has led to many opportunities in film and TV, such as I Smile Back, Nurse Jackie, CSI and Daredevil (in which he stars as the young superhero). Ozark offered him the life-changing role of Jonah Byrde, creating an encouraging fanbase who were just as invested as him in Jonah. Gaertner has been nominated for Young Entertainer Awards under Best Supporting Young Actor, and for the Screen Actors Guild Awards for Actor-Outstanding performance by an Ensemble.
