Winston Duke is a Trinbagonian-American actor, best known for his feature film debut in Marvel's "Black Panther" (2018), portraying the character M'Baku. He again played that character in "Avengers: Infinity War" (2018) and "Avengers: Endgame" (2019).
He was born in Tobago and moved to the U.S. with his mother and sister when he was nine years old. He studied theatre at the University of Buffalo before attending Yale University, where he received his MFA in acting. He began working in the theatre before making his onscreen debut in "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit." Soon after, he became a regular on "Person of Interest."
Duke also appeared in a few episodes of the CW drama "The Messengers" and on ABC hit series "Modern Family." He guest-starred on an episode of the crime drama "Major Crimes" in 2015. In 2019, Duke starred alongside Lupita Nyong'o in "Us," Jordan Peele's horror-thriller and follow-up to "Get Out."
