Born in Melbourne, Australia, Ben Mendelsohn took a drama class in high school, thinking it would be a course he could easily sail through, instead it became his career. At fifteen he began landing roles on Australian series such as Special Squad, and A Country Practice before landing a recurring role as Ted Morgan on The Henderson Kids.
