Karl Bruck, was born in Vienna, in the then Austro-Hungarian Empire,is an actor. He lost his wife and family to the Holocaust and left Europe in 1945 for the United States. He settled in California where he became a recognizable character actor, appearing in such movies as Paint Your Wagon 1969," Escape From the Planet of the Apes" 1971, and The Doomsday Machine 1972, but he was more often seen in television roles, appearing in such series as "Star Trek", "My Three Sons", "Mission Impossible", "Hogan's Heroes", "Barney Miller", and "The White Shadow". He is probably best known for his role as Maestro Ernesto Faustche on the daytime soap opera, "The Young and the Restless", which he created when the show went on the air in 1974.
