Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Noel Neill showed an aptitude for journalism, but her passion lay in performing. She sang and danced and toured the Midwestern fair circuit playing the banjo. While living with relatives in California, she caught the ear of Bing Crosby who hired her to sing at the Turf Club racetrack in Del Mar. Also a World War II GI pinup girl, Neill had appeared in nearly 40 movies before she became Lois Lane, beginning with the 1948 Columbia Pictures movie Superman, alongside Kirk Alyn as Clark Kent/Superman.
Noel Neill passed away at her home in Tucson, Arizona of natural causes at age 95
