Demetri Goritsas is a Canadian-American actor and voice actor. From Greek and Norwegian parentage, Goritsas was born in Eugene, Oregon, USA, grew up in British Columbia, and has lived his adult life in London. Goritsas was educated at Prince George Secondary School, Prince George, British Columbia, Canada. He studied acting at the Central School of Speech & Drama in London, England, and has lived in Vancouver, London, and Los Angeles.
Early in his career, he had minor roles in Saving Private Ryan and Spy Game. He had a starring role in Gallipoli alongside Jeremy Irons in 2005. He played the father of Jack Harkness in Torchwood. In video games, Goritsas has voiced Bad Hand in Driv3r, protagonist Sgt. Thomas "Sev" Sevchenko in Killzone 2, and protagonist John Tanner in Driver: San Francisco.
Aside from television and film, he's had quite a presence on the London stage performing at the Royal National Theatre and the Royal Court working with such acclaimed writers as Edward Albee, John Guare, and Rebecca Gilman as well as with directors Ian Rickson, Jack O'Brien, and Anthony Page.
