Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, Ed Nelson is remembered as a star of the 1960s primetime soap Peyton Place, but he was already a television veteran before he landed that role. He began his career in a string of small parts in Roger Corman B-movies in the mid 1950s, guested on a host of the popular series, some credited and some not, and racked up close to 200 credits in his five-century career.
Ed Nelson died from congestive heart failure at age 85.
