Born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, Darlanne Fluegel was raised in Binghamton, New York. Shebegan modeling at 16, moving to New York City by age 18 to begin her professional modeling career. She made her screen debut in a supporting role (as a model) in the 1978 film Eyes of Laura Mars.
Darlanne Fluegel was diagnosed at age 56 with early-onset Alzheimer's disease and passed away from the disease at her home in Orlando Florida at age 64
