"The People's Court" to End with Season 26
"The People's Court" wraps after its 26th current season. The revival of "The People's Court" premiered in 1997 with Ed Koch as judge, followed by Jerry Sheindlin. Judge Marilyn Milian has presided since 2001, making her the show's longest-reigning host for the series (22 years). It won four Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Legal/Courtroom Program in 2014, 2015, 2020 and 2021, which is the most wins for a court show in this category, and received 12 nominations.
