Veteran Washington correspondent John King anchors the new iteration of the Sunday morning round-table discussion featuring columnists and reporters from CNN and from other media outlets that dissect the week's important political stories. The series was initially cancelled due to low ratings in June 2005, before being brought back in 2014. In January 2014, network announced that Inside Politics would return beginning Sunday, February 2, 2014, hosted by CNN's chief national correspondent, John King. According to the network, the 30-minute program features a rotation of reporters discussing the week's political news. "It's a fascinating time in American politics, in Washington and across the country, and we have a remarkable group of journalists committed to sharing their reporting and their insights each week," King said in a statement.
