"Succession" is heading to an end. The hit HBO drama series will come to a conclusion with its fourth season. Creator Jesse Armstrong broke the news in an interview with The New Yorker. It's not a huge surprise given that Armstrong himself has hinted at the end and Brian Cox has been more explicit in certain interviews, while HBO boss Casey Bloys has long said it's up to Armstrong when it concludes. The series will return for season four on Sunday March 26.

The season three premiere of the drama series drew over 1.4 million viewers across all platforms, marking a series high and the best premiere night of any HBO Original series since the launch of HBO Max.

“Succession” has scored an early Season 3 renewal at HBO. The news comes as the critically-acclaimed drama series is just two episodes into its second season. Season 1 of the series was recently nominated for five Emmy Awards, including for best drama series.
