Gina Carano will not be returning to The Mandalorian or the Star Wars galaxy after sharing a post on social media implying that being a Republican today is like being Jewish during the Holocaust. "Gina Carano is not currently employed by Lucasfilm and there are no plans for her to be in the future," a Lucasfilm spokesperson said in a statement. "Nevertheless, her social media posts denigrating people based on their cultural and religious identities are abhorrent and unacceptable."

The second season of Disney Plus original series The Mandalorian will begin streaming in October. Temuera Morrison is said to be bringing Boba Fett back in his first live-action appearance since 2002’s Attack of the Clones, while Rosario Dawson has been cast as fan favourite Clone Wars character Ashoka Tano.

Battlestar Galactica star and Star Wars veteran Katee Sackhoff is joining The Mandalorian season 2. Slashfilm have exclusively learned that Sackhoff will be playing a live-action version of Bo-Katan Kryze, a Mandalorian warrior she previously voiced in Dave Filoni’s animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars and later Star Wars Rebels.

Last season on The Mandalorian, an enigmatic figure found Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen) on Tattooine after she was left for dead on Tatooine. Fans immediately guessed that it was Boba Fett, and apparently they were right. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Temuera Morrison has signed on to play Boba Fett in The Mandalorian‘s second season.

Dawson will be playing a live-action version of Ahsoka Tano, Anakin Skywalker's Jedi padawan apprentice who appeared in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars: Rebels. This would be the character's first appearance in live-action.
