A new season of the documentary series that goes behind-the-scenes at Britain's biggest and busiest international airport; Heathrow. This episode explores the unexpected divisions of Heathrow such as their own dedicated police force, paramedics and animal reception centre.

In episode two, an American airline has one of its busiest days as hundreds of passengers fly to the USA for Thanksgiving. However, before the passengers can board the flight, engineers are in the process of completing the world's most expensive nose job as they attempt to replace the nose of an aircraft.

In this episode, a passenger arrives from Doha on the way to Dublin, but his final flight of the journey has been booked from Gatwick, almost 40 miles away. Can passenger experience manager Sue battle a cultural barrier in order to help him? Meanwhile, engineering apprentice Matt heads out onto the runway to calibrate the arrival lights and gets closer to a 747 than he ever thought possible. There is a massive new arrival in the shape of a brand new 787 Dreamliner plane, with senior first officer Dave flying to Seattle to collect the new aircraft. Finally, the airport's dedicated fire brigade extinguishes a fire on a 747, but fortunately it is just a drill.

Passenger Experience Manager Jawad battles a language barrier to get 72 Chinese tourists to their connecting flights to Lisbon, but a problem arises when the group gets split in two and there's only one translator.

Elsewhere, two of the Metropolitan Police's dedicated sniffer dog unit, Buster and Paddy, who look for explosives in the airport, are put to the test on a training exercise.

Also in tonight's episode, Water Services Engineers Jon, Vic and Scott pull the short straw and have to clean a sewage tank - at midnight. But hunting for a sewage leak in the 500-mile labyrinth of pipes under Heathrow is no easy task.

This final episode follows Heathrow's challenge in departing 100,000 passengers a day.

Passenger Experience Manager Numan has a challenge on his hands in Terminal 4 - a flight to New York has been cancelled and 40 angry passengers are demanding to be rebooked immediately.

Also, as snow and ice threaten to close the runways, Airside Operations driver Hugh swings into action to drive a special runway de-icer with a span of 45 meters in Heathrow's first snow maneuver in four years.

Sue saves a passenger who is a musician from missing his concert. Elsewhere in the airport, there is a serious breach of security. Meanwhile, Ian goes in for a promotion.

It's midnight. Airside Ian checks Heathrow's airfield lights before the onslaught of half term. Drugs Dog Cole protects the Border, while officer Estefania pushes passengers through security with a unique handling method.

This time, police officers Terry and Dave deal with a missing passenger which threatens to close the airport, Ramp Team Rachel is dishing out safety fines, and in Terminal 2 security, exuberant Estefania is speechless at someone's carry-on.

We're back at Britain's Busiest Airport with the familiar face of airside officer Ian, who has a close shave out on the runway. Plus, veteran Border Force Officers Glen and Amarjit hunt down smuggled cargo and there's a new engineering kid on the block who's fixated with skid marks.

Tonight at Heathrow, it's a day like no other, with one octogenarian forcing herself into the country under the watchful eye of Passenger Experience Guru Demi. Plus, Terminal 4 turns blue, and airside Hugh has a potential environmental mess on his hands.

Tonight, buckle up as Heathrow's Heroes are dealing with the UK's worst winter storms. Whilst winds rage out on the airfield and safety Officer Rachel with Airside Ian go into battle with bins and royal birds, inside the terminal there's a bad smell in immigration, and rookie passenger experience manager Lee finds himself dealing with his first emergency fire.

At Britain's biggest front door tonight, Border Force Kat is deciding whether to allow a holiday-maker arriving with little money in and a confusing story into the UK. Meanwhile in Terminal 3 we're back with the meticulous Customer Service Agent Mr Sho, who is having issues with a 400-year-old Japanese tradition.

Anyone for duty free? This evening at Heathrow we're in the coloured lanes of customs and excise, rummaging through passengers' carry on, on the lookout for secret stashes. Virgin Atlantic's punctuality record is put in jeopardy by a captain's bottle of water, and there is love, actually in the air.

It's all upgrades and upper class at Heathrow tonight. Virgin's clubhouse manager Holly showers passengers with her VIP treatment Valentine-style, while the boys in blue, officers Terry and Dave, have to deal with an unhappy upgraded passenger. Meanwhile, a full A330 could be in trouble as a new recruit gets his first go at pushing it to the runway.

At Britain's Busiest Border, officers Kat and Tracy help a student from India who's arrived with no fixed abode, while out on the airfield during the mornings rush hour, Airside Ian is ducking and diving on the runway - and Terminal 4 welcomes an exuberant new ambassador.

At Heathrow's Terminal Four new airline on the block, Vietnam Airlines, are battling baggage woes in the lead up to the busy holiday period. Meanwhile, rookie engineer Mo comes up with an ingenious solution in a bid to ensure no one is ever stranded abroad without their luggage.

It's all smells tonight at Heathrow's Terminal 3 with a new restaurant, and Border Force Dog Jessie sniffing out thousands of pounds. Meanwhile, Airside Ian is ramping up his crow impersonations and Demi prevents a cardiologist having a heart attack.

At the helm is King of Customer Service Demi, dishing out help to all those allowed to travel, including tracking down a missing passenger. Plus, the situation means that nasal swabbing replaces duty free, which could save one couple's nuptials.

Flying for the last time out of Heathrow tonight is the iconic Boeing 747, with plane spotters around the world hoping to bid it a fond farewell.

Britain is on the cusp of holiday season and the staff at Heathrow are revving up for passengers from all over the globe. Today cameras meet a new member of the Passenger Experience Manager Team, Suki. It's the busiest day in May and with an increase in passengers, his Terminal 2 forecourt is getting busy with holidaymakers returning to the airport after months of having to stay away. One car has outstayed its welcome in the drop-off zone, and Suki has to take drastic action. And a passenger passing through the airport onto a connecting flight causes a security breach when they lose their phone between departures and arrivals.

This episode goes behind the scenes of travel's new normal - the test and trace. Passenger numbers may be down by 77%, but deciphering the protocols of all 206 countries that Heathrow fly to is more complicated than navigating Spaghetti Junction in rush hour.

On the frontline is Joel, the manager of Heathrow's testing centre, who leads the charge in trying to reduce passenger stress and makes sure that everyone gets the right test for the right country –  tonight he's dealing with a particularly irate Israeli family. 

Outside on the airfield, we're back with the airport's favourite moustache wearer – Airside Ian, who has a new weapon to test out on the ever-encroaching wildlife. Things are heating up in immigration, where Passenger Experience Manager Suki has an emergency on his hands, and Security Officer Estefania gets an unexpected make-over.

With the new regulations for travel becoming ever more complicated, it's not surprising passengers are starting to fight back.

The Aviation police in the form of Sergeant Dawson and Inspector Shard have their diplomatic hats on as they uphold the new quarantine laws of the land. Since February 15th anyone travelling back from a red-list coronavirus hotspot must stay in a special quarantine hotel for 10 days. But in tonight's episode, one passenger who has changed planes in a red country  is adamantly refusing to comply with the rules - and it's not just human passengers who are forced to have a stopover.

The City of London Corporation Animal Reception Centre handles tens of millions of animals who pass through Heathrow every year and whilst staff adore the delightful dog reunions, there are some tardy tortoises who end up having to hang around.  

An inbound passenger has an entourage of armed police officers waiting for him, while a propeller plane arrives from the Isle of Man. Demi plunges into his favourite role of `passenger saviour" when 12 young divers are struggling to make their championship flight.

Staff at Heathrow prepare for the arrival of Air Force 1, and although the airport is quieter than usual, it is still a huge effort logistically to make sure things run smoothly. Meanwhile, security officer Estafania scrutinises the contents of passengers' hand luggage, as well as their face masks, and airside officer Ian has his hands full.

Terminal 3 re-opens its doors to the public 15 months into the global pandemic, with 11 Virgin flights set to take off, but teething problems threaten to delay one of the departures. It's business as usual in Terminal 5 as Passenger Experience Manager Tas is called to deal with an arriving passenger who is refusing to pay for his mandatory Covid tests, while the City of London Corporation's Animal Reception Centre have quarantined two dogs who have flown into the USA without proof of treatment for tapeworm.

Passenger experience manager Numan is back after a year on furlough and faced with a terminal of 24 passengers who are missing 50 pieces of luggage - and it's his job to find them. Out on the airfield, Inspector Shard and Sergeant Dawson receive word of a man who is wandering around on the apron, sparking a cross-terminal manhunt.

It's all systems go at Heathrow's in-house Covid-19 testing centre, as service manager Joel and staff deal with an increasing amount of passengers needing their assistance. Meanwhile inside Terminal 2, the cleaning team are on the hunt for a special kind of vagrant which requires some very hi-tech infrared equipment.

Return of the documentary going behind the scenes of the airport. A pilot requires police help with a very disgruntled passenger, fire engines give a bath to a Boeing 777, and new airline Rwandair deals with some very charming travellers.

Storm Eunice wreaks havoc at Heathrow airport, as staff deal with a deluge of delays and unhappy passengers, and also try to deter debris from hitting the runway. Elsewhere, passenger experience manager Harry has to deal with a breach of security that affects hundreds of passengers jetting off on holiday.

Police mount a special operation across the airport, and passenger experience manager Taz rushes to the aid of a passenger on her way to Warsaw who takes a tumble on an escalator. Elsewhere, a five-star airline tries to make a comeback with its business class.

Police detain a passenger whose bag is suspected to contain three firearms, Virgin has a launch party for their new route to the live music capital of the world - Austin, Texas, and passenger experience manager Hannah rushes to the aid of a seasoned traveller who takes a funny turn.

Holidays are put on hold tonight, as it's the Queen's Jubilee and Heathrow is entertaining 72 military aircraft flyby 5,500 feet above its runway. With the airspace closed to commercial flights for 20 minutes, passengers waiting to board their flights have a ringside view of the red arrows billowing out their coloured smoke above the terminals on their way to Windsor Castle.

A technical hitch arises when an A380 lands, and six times the regular number of cleaners are needed to help meet a tight schedule ahead of take-off. A suspicious looking substance is spotted by security when a bag is scanned through cutting-edge technology that's being trialled at the airport, while Passenger Experience Manager Suki helps a taxi driver who's doubled over in pain with a trapped nerve.
