Nice to end on a good episode, we have a sociopathic heir, Alpha having to decide to sacrifice one of the team and as a bonus:
It features Patrick Troughton (2nd Doctor in Doctor Who).
and
"Resistance is futile" quote in a scifi tv show, predating its use in Star Trek: Next Generation, which made it an iconic phrase.
I feel like they spent the last episode trying to PREVENT the nuclear waste from blowing up & killing them - and now a week later they're doing the reverse...? and we already had the "is a crew member hallucinating or right" theme last week as well. and the final scene of the two ogling guys checking out centerfolds in the command center was just final Ick factor.
Not exactly consistent message across the episodes: the creature that took them over to suck water "just wanted to live" so they tried to help it, but this civilization that was also doing bad things, but in a bid to to survive was ok to wipe out entirely???
