Back at Ashdene Ridge, Finn has an encounter with a 'hobgoblin' and Chloe unwittingly puts herself forward to speak at a local meeting to save the skate park. Her opposition? The DG's nightmare neighbour, Mr Umbleby.

Kazima is shocked when Alex returns desperate for help. Kazima's reluctant to help at first sees that George is ill so she agrees to take him in and hides him in the attic.

Kazima, Ryan, and Joseph are tasked with staying behind to exchange an old wardrobe for a new one. When the wardrobe is delivered, they soon get more than they bargained for.

Kazima gets news from her father in Denmark - he's living there and wants Kazima to join him. The decision is easy for Kazima to make as she enthusiastically prepares to leave.

Ashdene Ridge is quiet, a little too quiet. With the YP acting like zombies focussed solely on their laptops, phones, and tablets, Mike has had enough. He imposes a tech ban, much to the protests of the YP. This most offends Floss - the computer game, Fable Scape, was her life. Floss' boredom grows agonizingly by the minute as she pleads with May-Li for something to do. Handed a book, Floss is hesitant but is soon sucked into a world of castles, smugglers, and secret passageways. Invigorated, Floss sets out to find an adventure for herself.

Sasha's irritated when her solo day at the beach becomes a group trip. She's buddied with Candi-Rose and less then enthused by Candi-Rose's positivity and relentless questioning.

It's Halloween and Tyler and the DG gang are left in the house under the watchful eye of the mysterious new night manager, Mimi Blunt. Tyler's begins telling a ghost story but Mimi has other ideas. As the gang are forced to clean, the discovery of a hidden diary sends them into the tale of Lady Thriftpenny, an old ghost that haunts Ashdene Ridge.

A couple comes forward to adopt the twins, but Toni doesn't share Billie's enthusiasm about the chance for a fresh start. Desperate not to ruin their chance at adoption, Billie employs underhand methods to get what she wants, but her plan soon comes undone and any chance at adoption is ruined. Having changed her mind about being adopted, Toni saves the day and the twins set off to their new life. With the power fused in Jody's room, she's forced to temporarily share with Sasha. As the two strong-minded girls clash, they soon realise they may have more in common than they first thought.

After pranking Mike, Jody's phone is locked in the safe. Their mission, should they choose to accept it, is to break in and retrieve it. Reeling from the humiliation, Mike seeks to prove he is the real prankmeister and embarks on an elaborate strategy to con the YP by adopting a heavy disguise as security specialist Gary Bradford. They begin their daring mission and Mike's scam to act as an ally to the YP nearly works until May-Li sets up her own prank to unmask Mike. Upon arriving at Ashdene Ridge, Charlie sets up wildlife cameras in the garden, but doesn't account for the company of a curious Taz.

Sasha is locked in the bathroom and her liberation comes in the form of Josh. Cupid's arrow strikes them both and they grow close, and Josh even wins over Mike and Dexter with his honest feelings. When he doesn't show at a gig, Sasha storms off thinking the worst, only to realise that Josh has achieved his dream place at an art school down south. Sasha can't stand in his way. The two kiss and say goodbye. Floss' discovery of a spot on her face, much to the amusement of the other YP, sends her into a tailspin about the forthcoming trials of puberty.

After some money disappears, a kangaroo court is set up to find the truth and Joseph and Jody soon become the prime suspects. Sasha represents the defence against Floss, who wastes no time picking holes in Jody and Joseph's stories.

An impromptu water fight and a few ill thought out words on a computer screen are the straw that breaks the camel's back for May-Li and it looks like she's ready to move on. Despite Mike's best efforts, the worst is about to happen until the consequences of Mike and May-Li's arguments bring them to their senses. Dexter's selfish attitude winds up the YP who set out to teach him a lesson. An impromptu game of badminton with Chloe gives Charlie the chance to bond with a new friend and reflect on how far she's come.

With news breaking that Ashdene Ridge is being sold for development, the YP are in a tailspin to try and save their home. Alex's idea of causing a scene only makes matters worse and even Ryan's attempts to use Mike's MBE to gain favour with the Queen doesn't work. The others, along with returning Tee and Johnny, set up a crowdfunding page to raise the cash to buy Ashdene Ridge themselves. When the money is stolen from the office safe, along with Mike's MBE, all hope really is lost. The YP will be separated within the week and Ashdene Ridge will be gone forever.

The arrival of Elektra and the discovery of Roman remains put a halt to any development plans at Ashdene Ridge. The joy is short lived, however, when the roman ruins is revealed to be a scam. Ashdene Ridge will be closing for good. The YP are resigned to their fate, all but Tyler, who faces a race against time to expose Mr Umbleby. Trying to prove his innocence, Alex faces an uphill battle for redemption. Along with Mrs Umbleby, Alex brings forward a key bit of evidence to Tyler and the Dumping Ground is saved. Mike, May-Li, and the YP celebrate another Christmas in Ashdene Ridge.

The YP pile their problems on Tyler's shoulders and rather than face them, Tyler escapes to his safe place, his desert island. His perfect paradise is soon short lived when the other YP arrive. Tyler retreats once more but realises the YP must work together and face their fears in order to get home. Ryan sees a chance to gain power as Floss, Sasha and Dexter face their fears.

Now with a plan, Tyler races back to get everyone to face their fears in order to leave the island. Coming to terms with how much Jody really means to him, Tyler faces his fear and kisses her. She leans in to face her fear too as Tyler wakes up to realise it was all a dream. Having given himself some perspective, Tyler readies himself for the world ahead. Holding the YP to ransom, Ryan relishes his new power, but it comes at a cost as he too must face his fear and relinquish control.

With her mum embarrassed that she lives in care, Jody is forced to play happy families. As the pressure mounts, Jody's anger rises and this doesn't go unnoticed by Mike. May-Li offers Jody a different solution - boxing. Even though she begins to enjoy letting out her anger, Jody is pulled back into her mum's charade but she can't take it any longer. Jody storms off and Denise gives her an ultimatum. Fix this or her mum will disown her. In the house, Floss becomes obsessed with an uber-cool architect and a battle for a luxury bedroom commences.

The pressure rises on Jody as she's torn between a future with her mum or one at Ashdene Ridge. She flips and inadvertently injures Archie. It's step too far for Mike and May-Li and Jody's place at the DG comes under threat. Running away, Jody can't take Denise's lies any longer. She tells Grant the truth. With nowhere else to turn, Jody sleeps rough. As fears grow, Jody's found at the boxing gym. Jody's reunited with her DG family but forgiving her mum may take a longer. Best friends Candi-Rose and Chloe fall out after Chloe shares an 'ugly selfie' that Candi-Rose wanted kept private.

Worried about being left out, Candi-Rose looks to boost her popularity with her knowledge of shopping. She impresses the YP but soon becomes overwhelmed by demands for the latest items and resorts to shoplifting. Meanwhile, Charlie struggles to let others help her as she tries to raise funds for her grandad, and Archie attempts to find his inner peace.

Saddened to hear that his friend doesn't want a birthday party, Finn sets out to change Alex's mind with the help of his imaginary dad, Billy. Meanwhile, Joseph's seen to move in with Archie, but a misunderstanding puts the move and their friendship on hold.

Today's the day that Sasha leaves Ashdene Ridge and returns home. Full of enthusiasm, Sasha records her vlog interviewing the YP. With a chipped bone in her toe, Floss decides to milk the injury for all that it's worth.

A chance encounter puts Alex face to face with a woman he believes to be his mum. Full of emotion, Alex has a million and one questions. With the help of Charlie, Alex goes digging but is in for another shock when he meets his mum's daughter, Alice. Back at Ashdene Ridge, Taz is forced to confront memories from her past as she tries to stop Mike selling the piano, and Archie just can't resist a bargain at the market.

It's competition time as Ashdene Ridge takes on rival care home Graybridge. Named captain, Charlie's competitive side shows after Emi and Amelie from Graybridge draw her in. Meanwhile, Mike's shocked to see ex-girlfriend Fiona back, and he remembers moments from their past. New arrivals Jay and Bird cause a stir after food goes missing, while Tyler drowns in a sea of Valentine's cards.

Feeling threatened by May-Li and the other YP, Jay resorts to drastic measures to protect his brother. Jay accuses May-Li of hitting him. Ashdene Ridge is thrown into chaos as the YP try to defend May-Li. Seeing Mike and Fiona together, Candi-Rose is adamant there is unfinished business and sets about to get them back together.

With the YP constantly arguing, Mike cancels a trip to the theme park. Tyler offers up the perfect solution, with no arguments for the rest of the day. Setting off an amnesty, it's not long before the YP all get something off their chest. Arguments continue until Mike finds out and punishes Tyler. Fighting back, Tyler instigates a riot and the DG descends into anarchy.

With an illness spreading, May-Li is the next to fall victim. With Mike pathetically sneezing and groaning, May-Li's determined to show Mike that she doesn't need him to run Ashdene Ridge. As the workload increases, so does her symptoms. It all becomes too much and May-Li soon realises that she needs Mike's help. They're a team. The discovery of a recipe hidden in Joseph's book sends him and Chloe on a mission to make the best chicken soup. Floss does everything in her power to avoid the lurgy.

Accidentally stopping a burglar, Ryan earns hero status in the house. With a video of his heroism going viral, Ryan's ego keeps on growing. Chancing upon a pocket watch fallen from the burglar's loot, Ryan takes it for himself as a reward. Thrust in front of TV cameras, Ryan's shocked to receive a text message with a photo of him and the stolen watch. Running back, the watch is now gone. Eyeing everyone with suspicion, Ryan sees a message on the fridge - 'THIEF'. Someone knows he's a fraud. Meanwhile, Jody struggles with her self-esteem when a boy from the gym asks her out on a date.

Someone knows that Ryan stole the watch and he's determined to find out who's trying to blackmail him. Forced to ride a trike and dress up as a clown in front of the Mayoress, Ryan is embarrassed in front of everyone. With the burglary fresh in her mind, Taz is on edge as Floss looks for her way to help her friend. A lump of coal in the fruit bowl reveals a new truth about May-Li - she's pregnant.

Life in the DG is about to change as Steven Redpen arrives announcing an experiment to split the boys and girls into separate areas of the house. As the trial underway, the YP begin to enjoy their new spaces but the honeymoon period doesn't last and they soon realise it's not the same. With Redpen trying to break them up, the YP must unite together to prove that boys and girls shouldn't be separated. After an act of defiance Steven Redpen makes the move a permanent one and the YP face a home without the other half unless Redpen can be shown otherwise.

Jody must decide between a future with Brandon or facing up to her true feelings for Tyler.

Charlie is faced with her biggest test when a visit to her grandad takes an unexpected turn.

It's Mike's wedding day but, with the groom missing, everyone must unite to save the day.

Sasha's life is turned upside down by new guests to the DG. Reunited with Freya, an old friend from her criminal past, Sasha is unconvinced that Freya has reformed.

Jody rallies the YP together to investigate the truth behind Sasha's actions that sent her to Secure, but a relentless Freya stands in their way.

Blindsided by the return of his mother, Alex struggles to keep his anger at bay. Aileen wants to reconnect with her son, but Alex may not be so willing to forgive and forget.

Ryan's ego is boosted when Mike selects him to go with Charlie to volunteer with the police. It's a chance to prove himself. It's no police station, though - it's the police horse stables. Ryan is quickly out of his depth as manager Richard Windsor takes a liking to Charlie and her knowledge of horses. Ryan, not wanting to look a fool, distracts Charlie and attempts to take credit for her work, but Richard sees right through Ryan and calls him out on his lazy attitude. This won't be an easy day for Ryan.

Tyler can't decide whether to give Jody a necklace, or what kind of career path he'd like to take. Meanwhile, he is tasked with looking after Ms Bloomfield's daughter, Piper, but his indecisiveness is exposed again when he's forced to take huge risks after a prank phone call loses the radio station their celebrity guest.

Candi-Rose is on a mission. With the help Jay and Bird, she escapes the confines of the DG as Mike lectures the YP about homework. With Bird in support, Candi-Rose plays her cards close to her chest about what the mission is. Arriving at a flat, the mystery plan reveals itself. Candi-Rose has come to see her sister, Lauren! It's her birthday, and Candi-Rose has brought presents for all the birthdays she's missed.

Outraged to find her enemy, Ross, will be staying at the DG for a short while, Floss sets a path for revenge. May-Li's in the mist of a childcare crisis and has to bring baby Henry to Ashdene Ridge for the day. When Mike is accused of not being able to go a day without coffee, an open challenge is set for the YP to relinquish their vices for a day.

Chloe is furious when she's overlooked for a trip to the cinema. With advice from Ryan about how to get what she wants, Chloe tests the boundaries of life in the DG. With team trails upcoming, Jody's boxing training has been going well and her confidence soaring. When the trial is moved forward, however, Jody's in a panic. Sasha is acting suspiciously, hiding away from the other YP. She's in the heart of a new obsession, one she worries makes her super uncool – knitting.

Attending a college fair, Sasha bumps into Josh but there's one problem - he's got a new girlfriend. Sasha resorts to extreme action as her jealously reaches new heights. 

Charlie's world is turned upside down following her mum's release from prison. Charlie's determined to build bridges, but reconnecting with her mum may not be so easy.

Meanwhile, Floss decides that sore winner Jay needs a taste of his own medicine, and Sasha is shocked to discover that Mike is the model at her life-modelling class.

Bec wastes no time in making an impression on her first day at Ashdene Ridge by making a fire in the back garden. Meanwhile, after seeing Bec's fire in the garden, Taz and Sid are worried she is going to destroy the DG.
