These two have been merged into just 1 show I think. Any searches for 'Caribbean Pirate Gold' goes to 'Caribbean Pirate Treasure' on Travel Channel

Not "merged" as much as changed showname. The E01 listed on "Caribbean Pirate Gold" matches E08 listed on "Caribbean Pirate Treasure". So please delete the "Caribbean Pirate Gold" showpage (I added it as an alias to the other showpage).

Edit:

Please note however, that the episode "Calico Jack" did in fact air on January 7, 2017 when the show was still called "Caribbean Pirate Gold" (I watched a tv-recording).

So, shouldn't 'Caribbean Pirate Treasure' be deleted and 'Caribbean Pirate Gold' renamed as 'Caribbean Pirate Treasure'? 'Calico Jack' is still episode number 1 in the official listing of 'Caribbean Pirate Treasure'

There is a lot of information submitted on "Caribbean Pirate Treasure", and very little on the other, so that wouldn't make much sense (also, only that single episode aired using the old showname).

Regarding episode-order, please read the available show-wiki, and maybe look closer at the official episodeguide, as it is numbering the episodes 1, 2, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9,14, which doesn't exactly inspire confidence...

And if you look even closer, you'll see that while they list "Calico Jack" as E01, they also list it as premiering on September 10 (as listed here also).

The last time the episode number did not match the chronological air date (for a show on a sister network), I was told the air date is given preference in ordering episodes when official site numbering says otherwise.

This page has bit more on the air date, though I would say 'Calico Jack' should be E1 in either page and not shifted to the episode number of the re-branded airing (though I can't find anything on Calico Jack set to air on 10th for Caribbean Pirate Treasure).

So basically, you agree with what I already said, 5 posts above this. ;)

(And are you not seeing the page for the episode? http://www.travelchannel.com/shows/caribbean-pirate-treasure/episodes/calico-jack if their schedule contradicts it, even more reason to not trust their information.)

You could find it in the most obvious place, Travel Channel's schedule http://www.travelchannel.com/shows/tv-schedule.2017.09.10.EST, at 10:30PM

Considering, that the "Calico Jack" episode was aired first as a pilot for a different/rebranded series, the season consistency rule could be applied. According to TC's press release, Carribean Pirate Treasure season premiere was on August 20, with two back-to-back episodes, which could be easily verified by looking at the TC's schedule on that day http://www.travelchannel.com/shows/tv-schedule.2017.08.20.EST.

c/p my own post from 8 posts or so above, so that someone with powers to delete duplicate showpages can see it.

I wasn't sure if you wanted it as the first episode or a later one, you only mentioned it aired earlier :) As to which page to keep that would be entirely up to you. Fine either way, but thought it was norm to go with existing TV shows re-branding v/s new show with obsolete show episode re-airing. I guess I was mistaken

So, by the season consistency rule, we go with new air dates and episode order instead of using the content's initial air date and subsequent episode ordering. Got it now!

Could you please put in proper case the name of this actor I've just entered? My finger slipped on the Create button before noticing the missing uppercase... :)

Thanks!
