Armand, leader of a vampire coven, meets and falls in love with Louis in Paris. Playing second fiddle to Louis's enduring love for Lestat, he risks losing the respect of his coven and his life to be with Louis. Armand's growing feelings for Louis make him weak in the eyes of the coven and the self-important Santiago.
