Night Court - Episode Guide

Judge Abby Stone follows in the footsteps of her late father Judge Harry Stone as she takes over the night shift of a Manhattan arraignment court. When the court finds itself in need of a public defender, Abby sees potential in an unlikely candidate from her father's past: former night court prosecutor Dan Fielding.

Abby pushes Dan to embrace his new role as public defender. Neil gets on board with Abby's quest to improve the courtroom and quickly realizes why trying is for the birds.

After Abby makes a mistake in the courtroom, she decides to adopt an all-business approach to get things back on track, but her new style catches everyone off-guard.    

With Abby's encouragement, Dan attempts to get venture back into the dating world, but reigniting his love life proves more complicated than he anticipated. Gurgs and Olivia search for a new office and find something they weren't expecting.  

In desperate need of a new apartment, Abby turns to Gurgs and her unconventional real estate skills. Dan helps Olivia prepare for the biggest case of her career and a shot at redemption.

Gurgs's tween nephew and some of his fellow students visit the court for a school project. Things get out of hand for Abby, Dan and the night court team when the kids reveal their true motive is to grind the wheels of justice to a halt.

When a train delay causes issues, Abby sees an opportunity to serve underground justice. Gurgs tries to stall the proceedings so Abby can meet her two favorite celebrities (Johnny Weir and Tara Lipinski), but Dan has dinner reservations he won't give up.  

A blood moon brings out some of the weirdest cases New York City has to offer along with a surprise visitor: Abby's mom, who is carrying some long-kept secrets. Gurgs suspects Dan knows more than he's letting on, while Olivia and Neil stumble on the truth.

Abby tries to get the court featured on a popular podcast, but the host only has eyes for Dan, who soon learns that being the center of attention can have its downsides.

When Abby's fiancé, Rand, learns she's struggling to connect with Olivia, he encourages Abby to embrace a side of herself she rarely shows. Dan and Gurgs team up to save his favorite thing in the courthouse: a bench.

When the court is overrun with cases from a wedding expo gone awry, the team looks to help Abby plan her wedding. A wedding planner shows Dan the finer things in life. Olivia and Gurgs wrestle over who will serve as maid of honor.

When Abby lands a meeting with the New York City district attorney to talk about her ideas for reform, Dan invites himself along to share his expertise in the art of "backroom dealing." Gurgs teaches Neil a lesson in confidence.

A tech entrepreneur in court has Dan and the gang seeing a chance to get in on the ground floor of the next billion-dollar idea. When Abby stumbles on the young CEO's history of fraud in a sealed file, can she warn her friends without breaking the law?

Neil's crush on Abby is making things uncomfortable for everyone, but Abby sees a way out when she meets an unrequited love from his past who just happens to be newly available. Meanwhile, Gurgs fails to protect Dan from an unruly member of the gallery and vows never to let him down again.

It's Christmastime at Night Court. Abby enlists Dan on her quest to track down a little girl's letter to Santa. Gurgs' gift for Dan isn't what she expected. Olivia is haunted by a witness who believes herself to be the Ghost of Christmas Present.

Dan helps Roz with an investigation that goes awry as they plead their case in front of Abby. Gurgs regails the court with stories of her London adventures. Olivia tries to establish a side gig as a sports agent.

 

Abby and Dan try to undo some drastic budget cuts by taking on City Hall and a bureaucrat who lives to say "no." Olivia and Gurgs stumble on a business opportunity and quickly realize why friendship and discontinued soda don't mix.

 

When a cybercriminal hacks the courthouse server, the crew has to figure out who's behind it before all their secrets are revealed; Gurgs welcomes Wyatt, the new clerk, by immediately identifying him as their prime suspect.

Abby learns her ex is seeing someone and confronts her feelings head on ... by trying to find the city's best pickle. Dan discovers that new friends aren't always good for your health. Olivia finds herself trapped in a legal love triangle.

 

When a childhood friend comes to visit, Abby is forced to confront the fact that she might actually dislike someone. Dan embraces Comic-Con and finds a potential love connection with a woman who has sworn to destroy him.

 

It's Fashion Week in New York as Abby gets caught in a whirlwind romance with a famous fashion designer. A high-profile defendant offers to make Dan's dreams come true, but it comes at a cost to Olivia.

 

Gurgs asks Dan to defend a disgraced Broadway producer he despises; Abby helps Olivia mourn.

Abby finds she has a crush on the HR rep who's come to teach the Night Court crew about respect in the workplace. Wyatt gets more than he bargained for when he asks Dan for a thank you. 

Dan weasels his way into a legendary underground Navy poker game during Fleet Week.

Surprises are in store for Dan when the Wheelers return to court after more than 30 years. Abby seeks a psychic in hopes of ending an argument she had with her late father.

 

When Gurgs' royal boyfriend pays a surprise visit, she questions their compatibility. Dan defends his family's honor after he discovers a feud that dates back centuries.

 

Abby offers up the courthouse to Roz for her big day after her wedding venue falls through.
