Specials and Dateline dominated the NBC schedule last week. The Voice crowned its latest winner, though the rating slipped. Law & Order: SVU saw a nice bump for its finale while Champions managed to lose about three million viewers from its first back-to-back episode to its final episode. Still no official word on if the show is canceled, but it's a pretty safe bet it's canceled.

I doubt it will make a difference but, Netflix begins streaming the full season of Champions in Canada and the UK (? elsewhere) on June 12. If it were to be a big enough 'hit' on Netflix, they might take over production and/or pay a higher fee making a second season more viable for NBC. If that is what they are waiting for, we won't likely hear it's fate till the middle of June or later.

Ransom is hard to predict. CBS canceled it last year but Global (Canada) and TF1 (France), two of the co-production partners, forged ahead with a second season. Months later, after production had begun, CBS came back on board.
