CBS ended the pins-and-needles waiting for many of its fans last week. The Amazing Race, Elsbeth, Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage, Fire Country, Matlock, all three of the current NCIS shows, Survivor, and Tracker all received renewal notices. Conspicuously absent from that roster is Watson, and freshman shows DMV and The Road. Fans of those shows should prepare for bad news come May. Hollywood Squares was up two hundred thousand viewers. The Price Is Right At Night lost one hundred thousand viewers. Harlan Coben's Final Twist was up one hundred thousand viewers.

Shifting Gears was up one hundred thousand viewers. Abbott Elementary was even. Dirty Talk: When Daytime Talk Shows Ruled TV lost three hundred thousand viewers off its premiere. Shark Tank was down another hundred thousand viewers it couldn't really afford.

NBC premiered The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins behind the NFL playoff game to solid numbers. Now to see how many people will follow the show to its regular night and time.  Happy's Place picked up one hundred thousand viewers last week. It should be an easy renewal decision for the network. The same cannot be said for freshman comedy, Stumble. The good news for fans was that it was even with the previous week. The bad news is, it's just not resonating with audiences. Its chances for renewal are slim at best. All three of the One Chicago shows were down last week. Med lost three hundred thousand viewers, while PD shed half a million viewers from the previous week. Chicago Fire lost one hundred thousand viewers. Conversely, the Law & Order shows saw gains. Parent, Law & Order was up two hundred thousand viewers and Law & Order: SVU picked up a few tens of thousands of viewers. The Hunting Party lost two hundred thousand viewers and took the low spot on the chart since Brilliant Minds was preempted for extra NBA Basketball.

FOX wrapped the latest season of Hell's Kitchen last week. The Gordon Ramsay-led competition show was up one hundred thousand viewers. Fear Factor: House of Fear premiered on its regular night and predictably saw a sharp viewer drop-off without the NFL assist. Best Medicine lost two hundred thousand viewers, but is likely in no danger. Doc picked up one hundred thousand viewers. Animal Control and Going Dutch were both even with the previous week.
