Ratings Roundup for the Week of March 1, 2026

ABC cracked the renewal seal last week, handing out good news to four shows. 9-1-1, 9-1-1: Nashville, Abbott Elementary, and High Potential all received good news. Fans of Will Trent, Scrubs, Shifting Gears, and The Rookie will likely also hear news of renewals soon. The only real question marks are Grey's Anatomy and new crime series, RJ Decker. Speaking of, RJ Decker opened its freshman season on the low end. It's currently vying for lowest-rated drama on the network with Grey's, so it can't afford to lose much of that premiere audience if it wants to continue. The Greatest Average American lost six hundred thousand viewers from its premiere. 9-1-1 and its spinoff, Nashville, both benefited from their crossover episode with each picking up two hundred thousand viewers from the previous week.

CBS premiered two more shows last week. Marshals (formerly Y: Marshals) had a solid premiere, taking the top slot on the chart for scripted shows. It would be no surprise if the network gives it a speedy renewal with those numbers. The same cannot be said for new competition show, America's Culinary Cup. It opened with just under two million viewers, which is not a good sign for a major network show. CIA managed to hold onto most of its premiere audience, only losing two hundred thousand viewers. It's at the low end of the chart, but networks love franchises these days, and shows with lower numbers have already been renewed. Assuming it holds where it is, it will likely be renewed too.

NBC saw a nice bounce for the annual One Chicago crossover night. Chicago Fire switched slots with Chicago Med to kick off the night and was up eight hundred thousand vewiers viewers from its last new episode at the beginning of February. Med followed, up six hundred thousand viewers. PD rounded out the night, up more than a million viewers. Happy's Place jumped nearly a full tenth of a ratings point, but it lost three hundred thousand viewers from the previous week. The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins sank last week, losing seven hundred thousand viewers. It can't lose any more viewers if fans want to see it back again next season. Stumble was also up a tenth of a point while its viewer numbers were even.  The Hunting Party was up two hundred thousand viewers. It and Brilliant Minds are still neck and neck for which one gets renewed and which one gets cancelled after this season.

FOX renewed Doc for a third season. No real surprise. The Tuesday night medical drama block has served the network well this season. The Molly Parker-led series was down four hundred thousand viewers before the renewal news broke. Best Medicine was even. Memory of a Killer lost another two hundred thousand viewers it couldn't afford. Going Dutch was down another one hundred thousand viewers. Odds of either show being renewed are fading.
