CBS enjoyed some big numbers from the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament last week. The network also lowered the boom on two shows last week. In not entirely unexpected news, fans of Watson and DMV learned their favorite show had been cancelled. Also, as expected, Marshals bounced back without the Oscars for competition, picking up six hundred thousand viewers. Fans of CIA celebrated their favorite show's renewal by finding some friends to watch with them. The FBI spinoff picked up two hundred thousand viewers. Parent, FBI, was up one hundred thousand viewers. Venerable procedural, NCIS was up six hundred thousand viewers, which helped its spinoffs. NCIS: Sydney was up one hundred thousand viewers, while NCIS: Origins was even.

ABC announced Grey's Anatomy was renewed for a record-breaking twenty-third season. Fans can expect more cost-cutting measures in order to keep the show airing. Its episode count was reduced this season, and, along with the renewal, the network stated that two cast members would be leaving, at least as regulars, at the end of the current season. RJ Decker continued to struggle last week. The good news, it was basically even with the previous week. The bad news, it is still the lowest-rated scripted show for the network. Its chances for renewal are fading fast. Scrubs was even with the previous week. It will be easily renewed. The Greatest Average American was even but low.

NBC filled most of its schedule last week with basketball and baseball. Not to be outdone on the news front, it also announced renewals for all three One Chicago shows last week. While the renewals were no surprise, it is nice for fans to have the suspense out of the way as the show heads into the end of the season. The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins lost three hundred thousand viewers, but it should be renewed.

FOX wrapped Fear Factor: House of Fear last week. The latest version of the reality/competition show was up two hundred thousand viewers and will probably be renewed. Memory of a Killer bounced back, picking up three hundred thousand viewers. That should help its chances for renewal. The Faithful: Women of the Bible opened to middling numbers.
