Yesterday, TV Time announced that it will shut down after July 15, 2026.
That means TV Time users have a short window to export their data before the app, website, and service become unavailable.
A lot of people have years of watched episodes, show progress, votes, and watch history stored there. Losing that would hurt.
Nine hours ago, we posted that we were working on a TV Time importer:

A big thank you to everyone who sent us their TV Time export files for testing. Real files helped us understand the export format faster and made the importer more reliable.
The importer lets you upload your official TV Time export and bring supported TV tracking data into TVmaze.
It focuses on the things TVmaze is built around:
- Shows
- Episodes
- Watched status
- Show progress
- Votes (there was no data to map the voting keys to actual ratings, if this changes we'll post an update)
Some data may not import perfectly. A show may be missing from TVmaze, an episode may not match, or the TV Time export may contain data we cannot safely map yet.
When that happens, the importer will show you what was skipped. You can safely run the import again later; duplicate data will not be created.
TVmaze has been helping people track TV for 13 years. We are independent, and we plan to stay that way.
If you used TV Time, the most important thing is still the same: export your data now and keep the file somewhere safe.

I just updated the importer. It should let you import even if one of those two is missing.
Small heads-up: TVmaze currently has a file size limit of about 12 MB, which is roughly 50,000 lines in the TV Time CSV.
If your export is larger than that, split the CSV into smaller files and import them one by one.
Just make sure every split file keeps the header row with the column names at the top. Otherwise the importer won’t know how to read it.
You can run the importer multiple times. It should skip anything already imported.
Same here -- renamed the ep_id column as episode_id and then got an error that I was missing the ep_id column
I have tried to import the proper file but it does nothing stating, “Safari can't open the page because the network connection was lost.”
I can only assume a lot of people are trying to get their tv time data exported causing this type of issue to occur.
Unfortunately the export doesn't create a file and no possibility to try again: net::ERR_FILE_NOT_FOUND (after hitting the download button)
