Mycroft Grimesby was the twin brother of Harcourt Grimesby and the son of Roderick Grimesby. When they were born, Roderick and his wife kept Harcourt and gave up Mycroft. When the brothers were about ten years old, Mycroft sought out his family, killed Harcourt, and assumed the identity of his twin.
