Kahn is one of Hank's next door Neighbours. Biologically different from Hank, and hailing from Laos, Kahn devotes his new life in The United States to be as Western as possible and to compete with Hank all the time. Kahn is also very envious of The Wassanasong Family. Despite being much more successful than Hank, his efforts to do as good as Ted often backfires. A running gag has Kahn and Cotton paired together, based on the fact they have the same Voice Actor. The Souphanousinphone Family has a small Boat they named Laotian In Motion. While being highly skilled, Khan has lost his job for being destructive, forcing him to commute to Houston to find employment at a Laotian firm, where he quits that job after seeing he makes "too much money" or some other excuse that kept his daughter from going to University. During this phase is when he introduced Luanne to Lucky, who eventually changed his backwards ways. He goes to work and live in a second residence in Houston. He also works as a consultant for Strickland Propane And Propane Accessories. Khan is very conceited. He named his daughter Khan Junior who is supposed to be his son. He named his dog "Doggie Kahn". Kahn loves him self so much, he "keeps a Ferrari in his garage". His mother is Laoma who has a Long Distance Relationship with Bill. His father in law is General Gum, who does not approve of the marriage to Minh. He introduces Hank, Bill, Boomhauer, and Dale to Pimai, as well as other Buddhist celebrations. They get along so well that they offered to build Khan a swimming pool with a legal obligation to share it with them. Minh warmed up to them much earlier.
