A local taxi driver in Castle Rock, Jackie is a spunky horror aficionado who is wholly immersed in local legends. And once Henry Deaver makes his unannounced return, she is quick to make his acquaintance.
Jackie's real name is Diane: she took the name "Jackie" to piss off her parents, because her uncle Jack was a writer who went insane and tried to kill his wife and son at a ski resort. Presumably her uncle is Jack Torrance, the main character in the novel The Shining.
