Keiko was a potential replacement for Wesley Crusher, but was rewritten to be only the wife and mother of Miles O'Brien's children. Not much involves her, despite being a botanist and tutor. Her family loves plants, and clashes often with Miles. Additionally, Miles's job keeps him away from her and their children so often, it puts even more tension in their marriage. She and her daughter encountered Deanna's Mother several times. During a cave study, she was temporarily possessed by a demon.
