Paladin spots a newspaper ad placed by Abe Redrock, saying that the sheriff of Latigo has offered a reward for him so he's putting out a $500 bounty on the sheriff. Intrigued, Paladin sends his card to Abe and soon travels to Latigo. He waits at a stage rest stop until a stagecoach comes by so he can get some water.
