Airport manager Jim Conrad is tasked with ensuring the arrival and layover of Daniel Boyd Goodwin, a contentious General who is currently the focus of protests and the target of a solitary assassin. Brig. Gen. Daniel Boyd Goodwin (guest star Robert Webber) insists on facing danger, especially as an object lesson for his son, Danny (guest star Tim Matheson), a pacifist. The General's arrival is awaited with keen interest by Gary Trenier (Mills Watson), an attention-seeking lone assassin.
